I just got home from Ireland where saxophonist Greg Blair and I did a little string of shows. What a great time it was! Highlights include playing at Whelan's in Dublin, swimming in a waterfall at Killarney national park, shooting a few live videos in 'the Burren" landscape (watch it below), being referred to as "lads" on a regular basis, and sitting in at a trad session in Doolin with some amazing local players.
It's been lots of fun playing Bull McCabe's every other Friday this fall. Thank you to all of you who have helped keep these shows so well attended. I look forward to the final Bull's show of the year on Fri 12/16, and then picking up again in the new year. Here's a photo from the most recent show with Harmonica player Thorleif Davidsson:
Summer Recap: What a great summer it's been! I got to play shows in eight different states, spanning from Pennsylvania to Alaska. Huge thanks to everyone who attended shows and especially to those of you who hosted home concerts. They were some of my favorite shows that I’ve played yet, and I look forward to doing more in the future. In addition to home concerts, I got to play at some great public venues including the historic Club Passim as part of their Campfire Festival over Memorial Day weekend and again over Labor Day weekend. Here are a few photos from along the way: Upcoming Shows: I'm looking forward to starting up the Bull McCabe’s residency again on Friday 9/30. I’ll be there 7:30-9:00 every other Friday, most of the time with guest performers joining me on the stage. And there are also some shows coming up outside the city and down in NYC. Have yourself a look on my shows page. Hope to see you soon at one of the shows!
