10/23/13 Making Progress On The New Album

Good progress is being made on the new album. I began the process in June with two long, wonderful days in Blue Jay Recording Studio accompanied by some very talented musicians. Since then, I've had a bunch of succesful overdub sessions. There is still a bunch of recording and post-production to be done, but you can expect a single late this fall, and the full record sometime this winter. So far everything is sounding as good as I could've possibly hoped for, and I'm blown away by the playing of the musicians who have contributed. I'm working as hard as I can to get it all done soon so you can hear it!

6/10/13 Going Into the Studio

So excited to head into the studio with these incredible players! Forrest O'Connor will be playing mandolin, Chris Sartori on bass, and Paul Zilioli on drums. We'll be recording basic tracks for 8 songs at Bluejay Recording Studio. Here's a little snippet of us practicing one of the tunes:

5/7/13 Blair, Lawson and Friends Collaboration

Happy springtime! I've been playing almost exclusively solo shows for a while now, so I am very excited about the Blair, Lawson and Friends full band show this Monday night (5/13) at The Middle East. Top notch sax player, Greg Blair and I have teamed up to put together a full band show of funky, folky originals and covers. Holding down the groove with us will be Chris Sartori on bass and Paul Zilioli on drums. We'll be sharing the night with the talented and soulful singer, Ali McGuirk. As of now this is our only scheduled public appearance as a group, so don't miss it!

3/17/12 Happy St. Patty's Day

Fun times recording the backing track and starring in this hilarious video from Vaudeville Pictures.
